Camshaft Sensor Crank But No Start

Camshaft sensor crank but no start.

Was driving when it first cut off and no noise just the oil light before it died. Spent all day trying to get it to run even cleaned all connectors and disconnected the battery. Also there could be a problem with a sensor crankshaft camshaft sensor communicating with the computer. If either one of these were to malfunction then the engine would not be able to start.

I replaced cam sensor oil sensor and engine coil. Then i found the crankshaft sensor and replaced it without any problems and now the engine won t fire. A failed sensor means no monitoring for the crankshaft position. No codes no lights.

Possible causes for the sensor not receiving power include a blown fuse frayed wire a faulty powertrain control module and a bad ground or loose connection. Car will crank but not turn over. The sensor should receive this power any time that a driver turns the ignition to the on position. When the crankshaft sensor is not receiving power the engine will crank but not start.

Also make sure the circuit and connections to the sensors are good. 3 computer sensor malfunction. Car was running fine and quit running while driving. It causes the engine to start vibrating heavily.

The camshaft position sensor gathers information about the vehicle s camshaft speed and sends it to the vehicle s engine control module ecm the ecm uses this data to determine the timing of the ignition as well as the timing of the fuel injection that the engine requires.
