I think i spent about 1 1 2 hours cleaning the sink before i even started painting.
Can i paint my sink.
The painting was actually pretty easy but these steps take time.
First i used the fine bristled brush to cut in around the edges of the counter.
Remember to clean the sides and bottom of the sink if you plan to paint those areas.
Rinse the entire sink with water and dry with a towel.
A painted bathroom sink was a bit more tricky but still not terrible.
Use sandpaper to scuff the sink and acetone to remove gloss.

A great alternative is to use automotive paint which comes in aerosol cans.
Spray paint your kitchen sink two part epoxy and urethane finishes are definitely hard enough to finish a sink but these finishes really should be sprayed and for that you need to rent spray equipment.
How to paint a bathroom sink.
Apply a thin coat of paint to the sink using a natural bristle paintbrush.
The second coat needs to be applied 2 4 hours after the initial coat.
You can re caulk the area once the countertops are painted and dried.
Use caution with acetone.
Remove all hardware and clean the sink.
Prime and paint your desired color.
Stainless steel and acrylic sinks can be painted at home.
This step allowed me to paint as closely to the sink as possible around and under any lips or seams.
First remove all the old caulk.
The sink paint takes 15 minutes to dry to the touch but will take 3 days to fully cure.
Use long smooth strokes and keep the paint flowing in one direction.
