I am happy to announce to you right now that yes painting the slop sink worked. The paint is much thinner than i expected it to be. But i thought adding a little interest to it with some spray paint that works on plastic would be a nice touch. Since i already had a plastic laundry tub that worked fine i wasn t going to get a new one.

Mix the 2 part epoxy paint together following instructions. I chose a 4 mini roller and a 1 foam brush to get the corners. The instructions say it can be rolled brushed or sprayed. The washington post recommends using krylon fusion for plastic and rust oleum paint for plastic.

Use epoxy paint or ep acrylic paints. Wear gloves and a mask and be sure to ventilate the room. The sink paint takes 15 minutes to dry to the touch but will take 3 days to fully cure. You d need to completely cover surfaces other than the sink where paint droplets might.

I am sure it is not going to stay like this for long but if it matters to you to start fresh with a clean sink then this is the way to go. Allow the paint to dry for three days.
