Two sided printing can be performed manually using a printed document.

Place a printed document in the multi purpose tray to print on the back side. Click the drop down arrow for 2 sided and then select off. Check the duplex printing check box on the page setup tab and confirm that automatic is checked. Please follow the steps below to turn off 2 sided printing and also save the 1 sided option as a preset.

Canon refers to the act of two sided or double sided printing on its machines as duplex printing. Select print from the file menu of the application. Open the printer driver setup window. Open the printing preferences pane.

Select print on the file menu your printer model then preferences or properties to open the printing preferences pane. Click file and then click print. Select letter 8 5 x11 22x28cm or a4 in the page size drop down on the page setup tab. Check the duplex printing manual check box on the page setuptab.
