Cap the pipes.

Measure from the end of each pipe and make a depth marking as directed by the push on fitting manufacturer.
Plumbers will stock caps you will need to measure across pipe axample 100m 4 inch main pipe cap.
Unscrew sink lift away.
Push the pipe cap onto the pipe until its edge reaches the depth mark.
Water pipe 1pm caps.
